MC Oluomo Pulls Major Surprise In Bid To Become NURTW President

Musiliu Akinsanya, the famous transport union boss otherwise known as MC Oluomo has pulled a major surprise in his bid to become President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).

He has finally secured the support of his estranged pal, Adekunle Mustapha more popularly known as Seego.

Seego is the new chairman of the NURTW in Lagos state with closer ties to the power cycle that gives the transport union legality.

The duo became estranged amid claims MC Oluomo attempted to clandestinely retain control of the Lagos state NURTW ahead of Seego’s takeover.

The arrangement before then was that Seego – the immediate past treasurer – would succeed MC Oluomo as the Chairman of the NURTW in Lagos while the former is supported to become the National President of the transport union.

Seego’s counter-measures frustrated MC Oluomo surreptitious adventure with the Lagos NURTW and created a gap that other persons eyeing the NURTW President slot – particularly Tajudeen Agbede – exploited in the bid to actualize their ambition.

Insiders, however, disclosed pressures from “unexpected quarters” have forced a “last-minute truce” between Seego and MC Oluomo and they are working again together to determine who becomes the next NURTW President.

Sources say those who intervened were “people” Seego couldn’t say no to.

“It caught many by surprise, MC Oluomo’s involving those people to mend fences between them was unexpected” according to insiders.

A meeting of all influential branch chairmen with Seego and MC Oluomo present was reportedly held to “formalize” the new agreement – that included the latter’s non-interference in the affairs of the NURTW in Lagos state, except where otherwise stated, if he becomes national president.

“That is why MC Oluomo has become more visible with new springs in his steps and known associates of Seego have started campaigning for him and not abusing him again” SocietyNow.Ng learned.
