Four teens charged to court over alleged unlawful gathering in Ibadan

Four teenagers have been arraigned at lyaganku Family Court in badan, Dyo state for alleged unlawful gathering and constituting public nuisance

Oyo state police dragged the delendanta, all aged between 16 and 17. before Magistrate, Mra CO. Ogunkanns on Friday, January 5 after arresting them.

The four accused namely, Kahinde Sodiq, 17, Akande Azeez, 16. Mubarak Fakorede, 17, and Basit Odeikunle, 16, are facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and unlawful pathering

Police Prosecutor, Inspector Gberminola Adedeji told the court that they were amested for constituting nuisance at White House, Labo area of ibadian on December 30, 2023 at 1:00 am

She said that the offences committed by the teenagers are in contravention of sections 64 (a) and 516 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2000. The delendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

In her ruling, the Magistrats granted the defendants ball in the sum of N100, 000 each, with two sureties each in like sum

Ogurikanmi said one of the sureties must be a parent or guardian of each of the defendants and must be responsible. She thereafter, adjoumed the matter till March 17
