Nigerian singer Mish reportedly passes on in Abuja

Nigerian singer Michael Aniekeme Meshach, known by his stage name Mish, has reportedly passed away.

The heartbreaking news was confirmed by a close family member on Thursday, February 15, revealing that Mish breathed his last in Abuja.

Mish, a native of Akwa Ibom state, rose to fame in 2011 with his hit song ‘Akwa Ibom Ayaya’ (I Want To Go Home), which garnered widespread attention and became a viral sensation on social media.

The artist hailed from Obot Okoh Mbiaobong in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.

While Mish enjoyed nationwide success with ‘Akwa Ibom Ayaya,’ he seemingly took a step back from the music scene, entering a period of musical hibernation.

Not much was heard from him in the years following the triumph of his hit single. The circumstances surrounding Mish’s death remain undisclosed.
