Nnamdi Kanu engages new legal team for defense in terrorism charges

Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), who is facing terrorism charges by the Federal Government, has hired new lawyers to defend him in court.

The trial is set to continue at the Federal High Court in Abuja today, with Alloy Ejimakor now leading Kanu’s defense team in the 7-count charges.

The reasons for the change from Chief Mike Ozekhome SAN and Ifeanyi Ejiofor have not been disclosed.

Supporters of Kanu are already present in court during the trial.
