On the auspicious occasion of this year’s Mothering Sunday, the Distinguished Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District, Sen. Dr. Tony Nwoye has congratulated Mothers of the Catholic Church as they mark this year’s occasion of Mother’s Sunday, extending his warm greetings for their trademark charity, kindness and multiple critical roles they play in shaping the society, starting with their place in the family which is the heartbeat of the society.

Distinguished Senator Dr Tony Nwoye while celebrating with Mothers as precious gift from God, applauded them for their various support which contributes significantly to tranquility of homes and society.

“Today offers us another opportunity to celebrate our mothers and I join in the auspicious occasion of this year’s mothering Sunday to reflect and extoll our Mothers for all the humanitarian roles they play in our families.

“Mothers are special gift from God. A single day is never satisfactory to celebrate the onerous contributions of mothers. We unreservedly appreciate their love, affection, care and gratitude for their inestimable roles in the family and nation building”, Dr Tony Nwoye said.

As he extolled Mothers, the distinguished Senator observed that women are not where they should be yet in different spheres of life, however, he pledged to do everything within his legislative powers to consistently assist women and mothers to prove that they can hold their own on all fronts, and in all endeavours.

Dr. Tony Nwoye finally prays the almighty God to grant all mothers peace, joy and satisfaction, as they are celebrated today and always, advocating that mothers should continue upholding the right virtues of deepening relationship and inculcating right morals in their children by using their inherent abilities for the overall betterment of the society on the aspects of moulding right characters and focussing on proper parenting.
