The hilly town of Idanre in Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo State is set to honour a member of Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Chief Pius Akinyelure.
Consequently, the community under the auspices of the Idanre Development Assembly (IDA) set up a 42-man committee headed by Chief Benson Ajisegiri to plan the event in honour of Akinyelure, an illustrious son of the town.
Other members of the committee fixed for June 15 includes Mr Solomon Akinwole who is the Vice-chairman planning committee, Dr Akinyemi Tomiwa who is the secretary, and Hon Mayokun Akinmoladun.
The President-General of IDA, Dr Anthony O Omolola said the event would be attended by creme de la creme in Nigeria including Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and other top members of the cabinet.
