Tinubu’s Fuel Subsidy Removal: A Slap on the Face of Nigerians

Tinubu

As I sit down to write this piece, I am filled with anger, frustration, and disappointment. The recent revelation that President Tinubu’s administration is paying 100% subsidy on fuel, yet the commodity is still selling between N850-N900 per liter, is a clear case of fraud and deception.

Who is taking the balance of the subsidy funds? Who is benefiting from this racket? These are the questions on the lips of every Nigerian. And yet, the government remains silent, as if we are all foolish and can’t see through their deceit.

This fuel subsidy scam is a slap on the face of Nigerians. It’s a clear indication that those in power are more interested in lining their pockets than in serving the people. We are tired of being taken for granted, tired of being treated like fools.

The fuel subsidy regime has been a source of controversy for years, with many calling for its removal. But if the government insists on keeping it, then they must be transparent about it. They must tell us who is benefiting from it, and how much is being spent.

But no, instead of transparency, we get deceit and lies. We get a government that claims to be subsidizing fuel, but in reality, is only subsidizing their own greed.

Nigerians, it’s time to wake up! It’s time to demand accountability from our leaders. We must not let them continue to take us for granted. We must rise up and demand answers.

Enough is enough! We will no longer tolerate corruption and deception in the management of public funds. The truth must come out!
