Lere Olayinka, a former media aide to an ex-governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, has criticised the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, for allowing a traditional ruler to squat to speak to him at a public event in Lagos.

The video, which went viral on Tuesday, showed that the governor and the monarch, Oba Fatai Akamo, the Olu of Itori, in the Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State, met at a public event in Lagos.

In the video, the monarch was filmed squatting to speak to the governor.

Olayinka, who deemed the act as disrespectful, expressed his disapproval on his social media page, writing, “Kรกbรญyรจsรญ, Orรญ Adรฉ, แปŒrรนn รŒlแบนฬ€kแบนฬ€, kneeling to talk to the Imperial Majesty, Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Governor of Ogun State.

“The shame is not on this แปŒba though, it is on the governor, who himself is a prince.โ€
