A fire incident occurred at Pinnacle Filling Station, Agbani Road, Enugu, on Friday, September 20, 2024, damaging three vehicles.
Fortunately, no lives were lost in the blaze, thanks to the prompt response of federal and state fire services.
Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, has ordered a full-scale investigation into the incident.
“The police are working to determine the cause of the fire and prevent similar incidents in the future,” said DSP Daniel Ndukwe, Police Public Relations Officer, Enugu State Command.
Eyewitnesses reported that the fire may have been sparked by fuel leakage from one of the vehicles waiting to refuel.
“The fire spread quickly, but thankfully, the fire services arrived on time to put it out,” said an eyewitness.
The incident caused temporary chaos in the area, but normalcy has since been restored by the police.
