Residents and property owners in Sabon Lugbe Southwest area, Lugbe, Abuja, are seeking President Bola Tinubu’s intervention following the demolition of 50 duplexes in an estate approved by the Abuja Geographic Information System (AGIS).

The Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) has been at the center of controversy in recent times, with allegations of collaborating with private estate developers to harass and intimidate residents without notice.

Affected property owners are calling on President Tinubu and the FCT Minister to intervene and stop the demolition, which they claim is unjust and targeted at reallocating their lands to private developers.

The residents argue that the FCDA’s actions are in contravention of their rights as legitimate landowners.

The estate developers have gathered that the FCDA are on their way to the estate to embark on demolition this morning Monday, October 21st, 2024.

The legitimate landowners have also identified one, Mr Abdullahi M. popularly known as ELEPHANT as the agent allegedly used by the syndicate within FCDA.
