When Gov. Soludo says that “Foreign Direct Investment” (FDI) follows the trail of domestic capital, it is a hypothesis he has tested with data driven results in the substantive not in the null.

Today’s groundbreaking ceremony by the United Nations Development Programme – UNDP of the “Makers Space” innovation hub is a major boost to the already activated creative and technovation ecosystem driven by the Solution Innovation District (SID). The “makers space” is an entrepreneurship and innovation hub set up by the UNDP to further support human capital development in the State.

Through the SID, the Soludo administration has trained over 20,000 youths on various tech skills who have themselves become creators and relevant in today’s productive circles. As Governor Soludo looks towards the 1million youths in tech marker, he has created the platform for its seamless actualisation. This is what it means when he says FDIs follows the trail of Domestic capital, and for development partners to provide tailored interventions that comes with direct impact on the lives of the people.

As Anambra continues to improve its human capital in line with relevant 21st century industry needs, it has become very manifest that the future of skilled Labour will be resting on the shoulders of Anambra’s human capital that is both relevant at home and exportable abroad.
