Obasanjo, Experts Raise Concern Over Increased Drug Abuse

Former president Olusegun Obasanjo and some other medical experts have raised concerns over latest statistics indicating 14.3 million Nigerians have being involved in one form of substance abuse in the last six months.

The concerns were expressed at a workshop on Drug use at the Olusegun Obasanjo presidential library in Abeokuta where speakers revealed that primary school students are also now involved in the menace of drug abuse according to statistics. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo in his remarks advised addicts to seek help early.
