Anambra Joint Security Forces Launch Rescue Operation in Nnewi Following Abduction Incident

Joint security forces in Anambra State have launched a coordinated operation aimed at rescuing three victims abducted by armed men on the evening of November 26, 2024. The incident occurred at the Innoson motorcycle showroom along Owerri Road, Nnewi, around 6:45 p.m.

In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Anambra State Police Command disclosed that it is actively working with intelligence gathered from the scene to ensure the victims are rescued unharmed and the perpetrators are apprehended.

The Command has called on residents and the general public to assist by providing any useful information that could aid the ongoing investigation and rescue efforts. Individuals with relevant information are encouraged to report to the Command Headquarters in Awka, the nearest police station, or contact the Command’s emergency lines at 112 or 07039194332 for immediate action.

“The Command is committed to ensuring the safety and security of all residents. We urge anyone with actionable information to come forward to help bring the situation to a safe resolution,” SP Ikenga stated.
