Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has sparked debate with a recent statement claiming that many pastors today are actually called to be native doctors (Dibia) but have refused to embrace their true calling. According to Edochie, colonial influence and Nollywood portrayals have brainwashed society into believing traditional practices are evil.
“Many pastors have the calling to be Dibias, but because of what Oyibo people and Nollywood taught us, they refuse to answer their true call,” Edochie said in a social media post.
