Controversial social media activist, Verydarkman, has called out the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, for hosting only Super Falcons players of Imo origin following the team’s triumphant victory at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The criticism comes after Akelicious published a report highlighting Governor Uzodinma’s reception for Imo-born members of the national women’s football team, sparking reactions over the perceived exclusion of other team members.
Taking to his Instagram page, Verydarkman expressed disappointment, stating:
“To the EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF IMO STATE, Senator Hope Uzodinma, you of all people should know 7 don’t make a team. It’s really disappointing to see this, and I am yet to see an Igbo influencer kick against this.”
He questioned the rationale behind honouring only a select few players from the victorious squad, arguing that such actions undermine the spirit of national unity and team achievement.
