Ilorin, Nigeria – Noted Christian leader, Rev. Isaac Omolehin, has sparked debate over the management of church wealth in Nigeria, drawing a sharp comparison between the Roman Catholic Church and Nigerian Pentecostal ministries.
Speaking during a recent sermon, Omolehin noted that while the Catholic Church is widely regarded as the richest religious organization in the world, the Pope does not own a private jet.
“In contrast,” he said, “out of the ten richest pastors globally, five are Nigerians, yet no Nigerian church ranks among the world’s richest churches.”
