The Nigeria Police Force has dismissed reports circulating on social media alleging that Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, has been declared wanted.
In an official statement on Thursday, the Force clarified that the purported Police Gazette Bulletin of Wanted Person is fake and did not originate from the Office of the Inspector-General of Police Monitoring Unit or any official police channel.
“The Nigeria Police Force wishes to clarify that the recent Wanted Person Bulletin circulating stating that actress Iyabo Ojo is wanted is NOT an official communication from the Force,” the statement read.
The Force further advised members of the public to disregard the false document and always verify sensitive information through official police platforms to avoid being misled by misinformation.
