The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has distanced itself from the activities of a dismissed staff, Olakunle Alex Folarin, who recently appeared on a matchmaking programme hosted on Leke Miami’s social media platforms.
In a press statement, the Commission condemned in strong terms Folarin’s involvement, clarifying that he is no longer an employee. According to the EFCC, Folarin, who served as a driver at the Ibadan Zonal Directorate, was dismissed for certificate forgery.
The Commission further disclosed that its Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, has ordered Folarin’s arrest after it was discovered that he is still in possession of EFCC properties, including an official Identity Card, which should have been surrendered upon his dismissal.
“The public is advised against associating Folarin’s post-dismissal conduct with the EFCC,” the statement read.
