Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, has celebrated the 34th anniversary of the creation of the state, praising Ndi Enugu for their resilience, unity, and vision over the years.
In a goodwill message on Wednesday, Governor Mbah described Enugu as a land of courage and progress, transitioning from its historic identity as the Coal City to a rising hub of innovation, investment, and hospitality.
“Today, we celebrate 34 years of resilience, progress, and unity as Ndi Enugu. From our heritage as the Coal City to our present as a rising hub of innovation and hospitality, we have shown the world who we are – a people of courage and vision,” the governor said.
Reflecting on his administration’s two years in office, Mbah noted that Enugu is already “rewriting its story” by strengthening security, driving growth, restoring pride, and laying foundations for prosperity. He assured citizens that the best days of the state are still ahead.
“Together, we will make Enugu the preferred destination for investment, tourism, and living in Nigeria. With your support, our dream of an economy of abundance will be fulfilled,” he added.
The governor concluded with a prayer for continued peace and prosperity, saying: “Happy 34th Anniversary, Ndi Enugu! God bless Enugu State.”
