Ahead of Tomorrow’s local government elections in the state, the Rivers state police command has informed members of the public of temporary restrictions on human and vehicular movement across the state.
In a statement made available to Galaxy news by the state police command spokesperson Grace Iringe-koko, .said the restrictions will be from 12. 00am to 6.00am on August 30th 2025.
According to the police, only those on essential duties are exempted from the restrictions during the election, while residents are advised to cooperate with security agencies to ensure a smooth, peaceful, and hitch-free electoral process as the police are committed to maintaining law and order before, during and after the elections.
Adequate deployment of security operatives to all the land and waterways are also in place, to guarantee a secure environment for voters.
