Legendary juju music maestro, Ebenezer Obey, has dispelled widespread rumours claiming he passed away or suffered a stroke, dismissing them as “lies from the kingdom of darkness.
In a video posted on Instagram, the 82-year-old music icon appeared in high spirits, singing joyfully alongside his two sons to reassure fans of his wellbeing. The clip was captioned: “Stop the rumours!!!! Ebenezer Obey is alive and well.”
Reacting to the speculation, Obey clarified that he had only travelled to London for personal care and urged the public to ignore the fake news. He further condemned those behind the rumours, revealing that some individuals even circulated edited images of coffins to push the false narrative.
“Everything they have said is nothing but lies that came from the kingdom of darkness. I am alive, I am alive, says the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you very much. I don’t have a stroke. I came to London to look after myself,” he affirmed.
This is not the first time the juju legend has faced such speculation. Similar rumours surfaced in 2020 and again earlier this year, sparking unnecessary panic among fans.
Following the latest video, fans and well-wishers flooded Obey’s comment section with prayers, relief, and words of encouragement.
