NAFDAC Seizes ₦1.2bn Worth of Fake Malaria Drugs in Lagos

NAFDAC has intercepted 277 cartons of counterfeit and unregistered Malamal Forte malaria drugs worth over ₦1.2 billion at a warehouse in Ilasa-Oshodi, Lagos.

The fake products, concealed in cartons labelled as Diclofenac Potassium 50mg and falsely declared as spare parts, were illegally imported from China.

NAFDAC’s DG, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, stressed the agency’s commitment, with support from the Presidency and Health Ministry, to rid Nigeria of counterfeit medicines and safeguard public health.
