Nigerian music star, Tiwa Savage, has revisited her 2021 leaked tape scandal, shedding new light on how the incident happened.
Speaking in a recent interview, the award-winning singer disclosed that the man she was dating at the time had claimed he only intended to save the private video but mistakenly pressed “send.”
Savage, however, revealed that she later discovered the act was not a mistake but part of a bet her then-boyfriend had with his friends.
“The person was my boyfriend at the time. He said he wanted to save the video but pressed send by accident. I later found out it was a bet with his friends,” Tiwa Savage explained.
Despite the controversy, Tiwa Savage has remained one of Africa’s most influential artists, continuing to top charts, perform on global stages, and inspire millions of fans.
