Veteran Nollywood actor, lawyer, and public affairs analyst, Kenneth Okonkwo, has been elected into the National Working Committee (NWC) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as National Ex-Officio by the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC).
Okonkwo, who is also a columnist and prominent political voice, expressed deep gratitude to God and the ADC leadership for finding him worthy of the position. He pledged to use his new role to advance the party’s mission of good governance and people-oriented leadership.
In his acceptance remarks, Okonkwo called on Nigerians to rally behind the ADC, describing it as a “welfarist party committed to rescuing the nation from the grip of incompetence and corruption.”
He criticised the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), accusing it of serving “the powerful, not the people of Nigeria.”
The ADC leadership praised Okonkwo’s dedication to national development and expressed confidence that his experience in law, entertainment, and governance advocacy would strengthen the party’s national appeal ahead of future elections.
