Anambra APC Deputy Governorship candidate Uche Ekwunife ignores Governor Chukwuma Soludo at event
The duo have been at loggerheads ahead of the governorship election holding this November.
The conflict began after Governor Soludo publicly questioned the authenticity of Ekwunife’s academic qualifications (specifically her PhD).
Ekwunife responded with sharp criticisms, urging Soludo to focus on governance and security issues and making derogatory remarks about his personal hygiene. She also made allegations that his wife, Nonye Soludo, had an affair with a late former governor, Mbadinuju, and hinted at questions regarding the paternity of some of her children.
Nonye Soludo vehemently denied the allegations, issuing a 72-hour ultimatum for Ekwunife to retract her statements and issue a public apology or face a lawsuit. She also publicly challenged Ekwunife to an oath of chastity and a DNA test for their children to prove their fidelity claims.
Ekwunife dismissed the challenges, stating Mrs. Soludo owes explanations to her husband, not her.
