Supreme Court Workers Chant “Onyendu Onyendu” As Nnamdi Kanu Submits Letter to CJN, Seeks End to His Terrorism Trial

A viral video has surfaced online showing some workers at the Supreme Court hailing the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, as he arrived at the apex court premises on Wednesday morning.

In the short clip, several onlookers and staff could be heard chanting “Onyendu! Onyendu!” a title of respect used by Kanu’s supporters as he made his way into the Supreme Court building under tight security.

According to reports, Kanu personally submitted a formal letter addressed to the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, urging the apex court to discontinue his ongoing terrorism trial.
