Former Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, has dismissed circulating rumours about his wellbeing, assuring the public that he is alive and in excellent health.

Obiano, in a personal statement released on Friday, said he woke up to news of a false report claiming he was unwell, describing it as yet another attempt by mischief-makers to spread unfounded speculation.

The former governor emphasized that he is “alive, hale, hearty, and in excellent health,” adding that by the special grace of God, he is doing very well.

“It is unfortunate that some individuals still find joy in spreading falsehood simply for reasons yet to be established. But we will continue to rise above such mischief,” he said.

Obiano expressed deep appreciation to Ndi Anambra, friends, and well-wishers who reached out with calls, messages, and prayers following the rumour, noting that their show of concern means more than words can convey.

He urged the public to disregard the rumour entirely, stating that he remains focused, grateful, and guided by God’s grace.

“Daalu nu, and may God bless you all,” he concluded, signing off with his traditional title Akpokuedike and the date, 14 November 2025.
