Senator Ned Nwoko has stated that he is no longer in communication with his estranged wife, actress Regina Daniels, and made it clear that he does not want her back in his home. According to the lawmaker, his only concern is that she undergo professional therapy for what he describes as a substance-abuse problem, especially for the sake of their two sons.

In a detailed statement issued on Tuesday, Nwoko alleged that Regina has been under the influence of hard drugs and that her recent public claims are “lies from the pit of hell,” insisting that none of her allegations can be substantiated.

The statement also included what was described as the last verifiable WhatsApp message sent by the senator to Regina on October 17, expressing frustration and giving her an ultimatum to “return to rehabilitation or no longer will fund your lifestyle.” According to him, it was after this message that Regina allegedly went “violent and berserk,” destroying cars and other property.

Nwoko further claimed that Regina’s behaviour deteriorated significantly in the last eight months, alleging she began lying frequently, neglected personal hygiene, and kept an unkempt environment. He stated that he sometimes had to encourage her to take her bath or retire to her room to sleep.

He also linked her alleged behavioural changes to her association with reality star Phyna and her friends, whom he described as “a bad influence,” adding that he tolerated them only in an attempt to manage Regina’s condition.

The senator narrated that he once woke up around 5 a.m. to use the bathroom and unexpectedly found Regina in his own bathroom, which he said was one of many unusual incidents.

Nwoko maintained that until Regina agrees to seek therapy, reconciliation or communication is off the table.
