American reality star Porsha Williams goes public with her new girlfriend, Patrice McKinney, after finalizing her divorce from Nigerian businessman Simon Guobadia
Porsha Williams has officially unveiled her new relationship with girlfriend Patrice “Sway” McKinney.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, 44, celebrated McKinney’s birthday on Instagram with a warm tribute, calling her “The Happiest Birthday swaythepro and saying she can’t wait for their weekend plans. Williams shared photos of the pair embracing in front of a festive Christmas display and videos of them dancing at a club.
This marks Williams’ first public relationship since finalizing her divorce from Simon Guobadia in June, a split that came 15 months after their wedding. Earlier in October, she revealed at Culture Con that she was dating both a man and a woman and had “narrowed it down to them both,” noting that neither fits the narcissistic patterns she had encountered in past relationships.
Williams described her new romantic interests including McKinney as “challenging” in a healthy way, saying they ask questions, set boundaries, and don’t allow her to dominate the dynamic. She has been working with her therapist to open up more, acknowledging that if she wants a different kind of relationship, she must approach love differently.
After her divorce, Williams told PEOPLE she planned to stay single until she felt whole again, and even explored the idea of possibly dating a woman as she healed.
Now, she appears ready and happy to embrace a new chapter.
