Muhammadu Sanusi II, Emir of Kano, says he is most happy when in a classroom either as a teacher or student.
Sanusi recently got admitted into the Northwest University in Kano, degree programme in common and Sharia law.
His admission has drawn public attention, with images and videos of the monarch attending classes alongside younger students circulating widely.
Speaking to journalists after attending class on Friday, the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), said this would be his third bachelor’s degree, recalling earlier stints as an undergraduate.
“The first time I was at level 200 was in 1978, and the second time was in 1992. So, this is actually my third bachelor’s degree I’m going for,” he said.
