ADC in Dilemma, Betty Joins Obidient in Insisting on Peter Obi

African Democratic Congress, ADC, has continued to be in dilemma over the party’s presidential candidate for the 2027 General Elections.

The dilemma is deepened by the political stature of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who is not willing to jettison his political ambition or make concession for the ADC to align with the power rotation principle in the polity.

On the other divide, Peter Obi emerges one political elite with highest populist followership across the country. Rotimi Amaechi and others, are forces to contend with in the competition for the ADC 2027 presidential ticket. Obi and Atiku, however, appear to be the greater political giants in the ADC. The political calculus is for a southern president in 2027. Bit Atiku is not giving anything to chance.

However, followers of Peter Obi, the Obidient Movement, are not conceding to any alternative than their political idol. They threaten to withdraw their populist support if Obi does not get the ticket of the party, or considered for vice president ticket.

Meanwhile, former First Lady in Ondo State, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, making public declaration to support Obi for 2027, insisted that it’s “either Obi or nothing. “Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu in a brief statement on her social media handle, asserted: “Obi or nothing.”

The Obedient are rapidly garnering momentum in the polity, the crowd increasing with presence of Obi in major cities across the country.
