Popular social media influencer, Tunde Ednut, has expressed emotional disappointment following reports that several prominent Igbo businessmen have declared support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a heartfelt post shared on his social media page, Tunde admitted that he was deeply affected by the development, revealing that he was moved to tears.

“I don’t know why, but tears just dropped from my eyes. It feels like all hope is lost now that some of our top big boys have switched to APC,” he wrote.

The influencer was reacting to news that nightlife entrepreneur Cubana ChiefPriest, billionaire businessman Obi Cubana, Zenco boss and other influential Igbo figures have openly aligned with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Tinubu as political realignments gradually begin ahead of 2027.

Despite his disappointment, Tunde maintained that he holds no grudge against them, emphasizing loyalty and respect.

“They are still my people, and I can’t speak against them. If to say them no be my people, we for yarn small, but my loyalty is forever, it doesn’t switch. No wahala sha! E pain me oo!” he added.

He also called on supporters of Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, popularly known as “OBidients,” to remain focused and united.

“OBidients, we move. If Peter Obi wins the primaries and gets the ticket to contest for President, let’s give him our full support. All the best,” he stated.

Tunde, however, admitted that he was not in the best emotional state at the moment, concluding his message by saying, “Honestly, I’m not happy at the moment. I just feel weak.”
