Social media activist VeryDarkMan has responded to criticism from content creator King Mitchy over allegations that funds donated to his NGO have remained unused for nearly two years.
King Mitchy had earlier called out VeryDarkMan, alleging that over N330 million donated by Nigerians for charitable causes has been kept in the NGO’s account without visible execution of projects, particularly the renovation of dilapidated schools.
In a statement shared online, she said she does not dislike the activist but believes he should focus on fulfilling the purpose for which the funds were raised.
“I don’t dislike you, all I am saying is you need to get to work. You have held hundreds of millions Nigerians donated to you inside your bank account for almost two years now and you are busy making content on trendy topics and celebrity gossip instead of renovating schools. If you want the list and locations of dilapidated schools, I can provide it to you,” she said.
Reacting to the comments, VeryDarkMan expressed surprise over what he described as unprovoked attacks.
“I was just on my own doing my thing and I started getting subs and attacks from King Mitchy, unprovoked, and I’m wondering what I did to this girl,” he said in a video response.
The exchange has since sparked mixed reactions on social media, with supporters divided over the allegations and the handling of the reported N330 million in donations.
