Media entrepreneur and politician Dele Momodu has appealed to Yoruba activist Sunday Igboho to support his preferred political candidate peacefully and avoid making statements that could threaten other citizens.
In a message addressed to Igboho, Momodu urged the activist to allow all political candidates to campaign freely across Yorubaland and the entire country without intimidation.
The publisher emphasized that no individual has the authority to stop candidates such as Atiku Abubakar or Peter Obi from carrying out their political campaigns in any part of Nigeria.
Momodu stated that while he respects Igboho’s decision to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, political support should not translate into threats or hostility toward fellow citizens.
He further urged the activist to use his influence to promote peace and unity rather than division, stressing that democratic participation allows everyone the freedom to support the candidate of their choice.
Momodu concluded by reaffirming his personal respect and affection for Igboho while encouraging him to continue advocating peace in the political space.
