Veteran Nollywood actor Zack Orji has publicly declared his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing him as the most qualified among presidential candidates and praising his track record of inclusivity.
Speaking on the political landscape, Orji emphasized that Tinubu has consistently demonstrated goodwill toward the Igbo community, noting that this has earned him the support of many Igbo people, including himself.
The actor highlighted Tinubu’s tenure as Governor of Lagos State, stating that he made it a point to include Igbo representatives in his cabinet. He also pointed to Vice President Kashim Shettima, recalling that during his time as Governor of Borno State, he similarly appointed Igbos into key positions.
According to Orji, these actions reflect a broader commitment by the current administration to national unity and inclusiveness across ethnic lines.
Addressing the ongoing discussions surrounding Nnamdi Kanu, Orji criticized some political actors for allegedly exploiting the situation for personal or political gain. He argued that not everyone engaging in the conversation genuinely cares about Kanu, but rather uses the issue as a tool to gain popularity.
