The All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared that the party has the capacity to govern Nigeria for the next 100 years under strong leadership and sustained policy direction.

The Yobe State Chairman of the APC, Muhammad Gadaka, made the statement on Thursday during the Yobe Leadership and Innovation Summit 2026 held in Damaturu.

Gadaka, who was represented by the State Party Youth Leader, Muhammad Musa Gulani, expressed strong optimism about Nigeria’s future under the APC, saying the party has the structure and vision to remain in power across federal, state, and local government levels for more than a century.

He said the party’s long-term ambition is rooted in policies and programmes aimed at improving the lives of Nigerians and strengthening governance nationwide.

“The vision of our party is to improve the lives of Nigerians and make Nigeria a great country. This party will continue to form governments at the federal, state, and local levels for more than 100 years,” he stated.

Gadaka added that the APC is reviewing its achievements and refining its strategies to ensure measurable impact, while urging Nigerians to remain confident in the party’s leadership, noting that ongoing economic reforms would eventually benefit citizens.

Earlier, the Chief Convener of the summit, Faruk Abdullahi Chiromari, said the event was organised to celebrate the achievements of Mai Mala Buni, whose administration he credited with expanding opportunities for young people in governance across Yobe State.

According to him, many youths have been appointed into key roles such as commissioners, special advisers, board members, and local government officials, reflecting the governor’s confidence in youth participation in governance.
