Daniel Bwala, an aide to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has criticized former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi following his recent interview on Arise TV.
Reacting to the interview, Bwala described Obi’s political trajectory across multiple parties—including APGA, PDP, Labour Party, and ADC—as evidence of what he termed “nomadic politics.”
He argued that Obi’s explanation for leaving parties whenever internal issues arise reflects poorly on his leadership philosophy and raises concerns about his suitability for governance.
According to Bwala, Obi’s remarks suggested a pattern of distancing himself from challenges rather than addressing them, a stance he said is incompatible with the demands of leading a complex country like Nigeria.
The presidential aide further mocked supporters of the former Anambra State governor, claiming the interview had left them embarrassed, while controversially describing the day as “World Shame Day” for Obi’s followers.
