A speaker at the ongoing convention of the African Democratic Congress (ADC)in Abuja has strongly criticized the federal government, accusing it of failing in its leadership responsibilities and attempting to stifle opposition voices.

Speaking during the event, Randy Peter condemned what he described as fear surrounding the ADC convention, arguing that such reactions undermine democratic principles.

He drew comparisons with the recent convention of the All Progressives Congress, alleging that while top officials were heavily guarded, citizens in parts of the country continued to face security challenges.

Referencing incidents in Plateau State and Benue State, the speaker described the situation as a “tragic failure of leadership,” expressing concern over ongoing violence and insecurity.

Randy Peter further called on Nigerians to assert their collective power, emphasizing that the will of the people remains stronger than any force seeking to suppress it.
