Asari Dokubo Vows to Campaign Against Kwankwaso Ahead of 2027 Elections

Asari Dokubo and Kwankwaso

A former Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo, has declared his intention to campaign vigorously against Rabiu Kwankwaso in the lead-up to the 2027 general elections.

Dokubo made the statement late last night, just hours after Kwankwaso released a video urging Nigerians to register with the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In his remarks, Dokubo accused Kwankwaso of attempting to manipulate Muslim voters, alleging that the former Kano State governor “thinks he can sell Muslims for Kobo Kobo.” He further vowed that Kwankwaso would face strong opposition, adding that efforts would be made to “disappoint him” politically in the next election cycle.

Kwankwaso, a prominent political figure and former presidential candidate, has recently intensified his engagement with Nigerians, particularly through calls for increased participation in the democratic process via voter registration under the ADC platform.
