The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State has intensified its grassroots mobilisation drive following the inauguration of Ward and Local Government Executives of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors.
The inauguration, held on April 21, 2026, at St. Martins Cathedral Church, Odoata, Ihiala, was led by Prof. Joseph Ugboaja, Anambra South Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and Chief Medical Director of NAUTH, Nnewi. The newly inaugurated structure is headed by the Ihiala Local Government Coordinator, Theo Nnorom.
Speaking at the event, Nnorom expressed appreciation to APC leaders in Ihiala for entrusting him with the leadership role, noting that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors remains a key support group dedicated to the re-election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He emphasized that the group operates in alignment with the President’s political vision and enjoys backing from national leadership, including Hope Uzodinma, who serves as the National Coordinator.
Nnorom also acknowledged the contributions of party stakeholders, including the Director of Organisation and Mobilisation, Chief Olisa Metu, describing his appointment as well deserved. He further recognised the support of the Anambra State APC Chairman, Sen. Emma Anosike, and the State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Chief Okey Ezenwa, despite their absence at the event.
He called on members and supporters to intensify mobilisation efforts across all wards in Ihiala to ensure strong electoral support for the APC in future elections.
Other speakers, including the APC Ihiala Local Government Chairman, Hon. Mathias Amaechi Peter, and Hon. Engr. Fab Ozoigbo, urged party faithful to remain committed to the Renewed Hope Agenda while warning against anti-party activities.
The event attracted several party chieftains, stakeholders, ward chairmen, and political figures from within and outside the local government area.
The highlight of the gathering was the formal inauguration of the Ward and Local Government Executives of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, marking a significant step in the APC’s efforts to consolidate its structure and expand its support base in Anambra South.
