“Weak Leadership?” Yul Edochie Attacks Peter Obi Over Party Exit Claim

Yul Edochie and Peter Obi

Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has publicly criticised former Anambra State Governor and Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi over his decision to leave the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), linking the move to concerns about his leadership strength.

In a statement shared on social commentary platforms, Edochie alleged that Obi left APGA due to issues surrounding his political successor, describing the decision as questionable and suggesting it reflected a lack of strong character in handling political transitions.

He further compared the situation to other political actors who have remained within their parties despite internal challenges, arguing that leaders should demonstrate resilience under pressure, especially in high-stakes political environments.

Edochie also questioned Obi’s suitability for higher national office, stating that leadership at the presidential level requires the ability to withstand political pressure from multiple fronts, both locally and internationally.
