Popular social media influencer, Tunde Ednut, has weighed into the ongoing political debate surrounding allegations that Peter Obi frequently switches political parties.

In a strongly worded reaction shared online, Ednut dismissed the criticism from supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who have accused Obi of lacking political consistency. He argued that such attacks are misplaced, pointing out that Nigeria’s current president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, also has a history of moving across different political platforms during his career.

Ednut further alleged that Obi’s multiple party affiliations were not by choice alone, but partly due to deliberate political strategies aimed at weakening parties he joins. According to him, these moves are driven by fears of Obi’s growing influence and perceived threat in Nigeria’s political landscape.

He maintained that many Nigerians, particularly Obi’s supporters, are less concerned about party loyalty and more focused on electing a leader capable of addressing the country’s challenges. Emphasizing this stance, Ednut declared that Obi would remain a formidable contender in future elections, regardless of the platform he chooses.
