Cubana Chief Priest has finally reacted after reportedly losing the APC House of Representatives ticket to the incumbent lawmaker, breaking his silence with a lengthy statement reaffirming his loyalty to the party and support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In his statement, Cubana Chief Priest explained that following consultations with Hope Uzodimma and party leadership in Imo State, he was informed about the party’s zoning arrangement within the federal constituency. According to him, the governor argued that the seat should remain in Orlu Local Government Area for at least another term before rotating elsewhere.
He disclosed that despite making it clear that his aspiration was driven by concerns that the current office holder had not fully met the expectations of the people, he eventually respected the party’s position and chose not to participate in the primary process.
The celebrity barman stated that he did not attend the primary venue and immediately returned to Lagos after receiving the party’s final position, dismissing claims and online narratives suggesting otherwise.
Addressing critics, Cubana Chief Priest described attempts to drag his name into controversies as “online propaganda,” insisting that his political ambition was a personal decision and that he remains proud of the awareness and political engagement generated during his movement.
He further declared that his commitment to the re-election bid of President Tinubu in 2027 remains “absolute and unwavering,” while urging supporters of his City Boy Movement to remain calm, focused and loyal to the APC.
