Nigerian singer Peruzzi has sparked reactions online after revealing that he temporarily ignored his girlfriend of seven years after meeting Afrobeats superstar Davido.
Speaking during a chat with media personalities Falz, VJ Adams, and Tope Olowoniyan, the singer admitted that he became completely carried away by the sudden change in his lifestyle after linking up with Davido.
According to Peruzzi, he stopped communicating with his girlfriend for days because he was busy enjoying experiences he had never imagined.
“I didn’t text her or nothing, I was with my guys enjoying life,” he said.
Explaining further, the singer said meeting Davido instantly changed his reality, as he suddenly found himself traveling across countries within days.
“First of all, I just met Davido, imagine this. You just met Davido. You met him today, tomorrow you are on a flight to Dubai. The next day you’re on a flight to Lebanon. I don’t understand, I’m calling who?” he said.
When asked why he didn’t at least call his girlfriend to share the exciting news, Peruzzi replied, “Why do you think, why, why, why? I’m enjoying something that has never happened to me in my life!”
As the conversation continued, VJ Adams reminded him that his girlfriend was still waiting for him, to which Peruzzi jokingly responded, “She no go d+e now.”
