
Controversial Nigerian musician and social media personality, Speed Darlington, popularly known as Akpi, has sparked reactions online after expressing outrage over an airport parking fee of ₦203,500 he claimed to have paid for leaving his vehicle at the airport for four days.
In a viral video circulating on social media, the singer angrily criticized the cost of living in Nigeria, questioning why he was charged over ₦200,000 for parking his car for a short period.
According to Speed Darlington, the amount charged effectively consumed money he had budgeted for feeding and other expenses.
Visibly upset in the video, he lamented the economic situation in the country and compared the parking charges to what might be expected in developed countries.
“How can I pay ₦203,500 just for parking my car for four days at the airport? They took my feeding money. Are we in Europe? ₦50,000 per day for parking a car in Nigeria? How person go take stay for this country? E no go better for Tinubu,” he said in the viral clip.
The outspoken entertainer directed his frustration at President Bola Tinubu while venting over the alleged charges, blaming the current economic situation for the hardship Nigerians are facing.
The video has since generated widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians debating the cost of airport parking services and the broader economic challenges facing the country.
