A delegation of the Igbo Elders Consultative Forum has paid a solidarity visit to former Kano State governor and National Democratic Congress (NDC) leader, Musa Kwankwaso, expressing strong support for the growing alliance between him and former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
The high-powered delegation, which visited Kwankwaso at his Abuja residence, was led by Dr. S. N. Okeke, Chairman of the Ohanaeze Council of Elders for the 19 States and the FCT, alongside former Enugu State governor, Okwesilieze Nwodo.

During the visit, the elders commended the cordial relationship between Kwankwaso and Obi under the NDC platform, describing the partnership as a positive development for the country’s political future. Responding, Kwankwaso thanked the delegation for the visit and for the opportunity to discuss national issues and the future of the country. He noted that the meeting provided a platform to reflect on the historical political relationship between Northern and South-Eastern Nigeria.

The former governor expressed satisfaction with his relationship with Obi, describing it as productive and beneficial to the objectives of the NDC. He also reaffirmed his commitment to the “OK Movement” and the party, stressing their determination to secure victory in the forthcoming elections.
