American rapper Cardi B has addressed the drama that often follows her relationships, saying she has repeatedly found herself dealing with obsessive ex-girlfriends and baby mamas of the men she dates.
Her comments come amid ongoing dating rumours linking her to Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, following a recent social media outburst by the footballer’s alleged baby mama.
Speaking during a livestream on X (formerly Twitter), the rapper insisted the situation is nothing new, recalling that she has experienced similar issues since her early 20s.
“One thing about it, two things for sure, I’m telling y’all this since I was 20,” she said.
Cardi recounted how an ex-girlfriend of one of her former partners allegedly became fixated on her, repeatedly calling her and even showing up at her workplace.
“She was obsessed with me. She was calling my house phone… She even came to my job,” she recalled, adding that she pleaded with the woman to leave her alone to avoid a confrontation.
She also claimed another former boyfriend’s baby mama was even more extreme.
“When I dated that scammer that I dated for three years, he had an insane baby mom, the bitch was just insane,” she said.
According to the rapper, the pattern has remained consistent throughout her dating life.
“As long as a nigga has a baby mom, or even an ex-girlfriend, this is going to happen,” she stated, adding, “I don’t know what it is about me, I ruffle their feathers really bad.”
Despite the recurring drama, Cardi made it clear she has no plans to remain single.
“Bardi Gang, I’m not going to stay single forever. I’m sorry, I’m just not. I need to be entertained,” she said, before joking, “Life is cool, but the pussy needs love, too.”
