Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has criticised Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke over his recent political engagements with Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and President Bola Tinubu.
VeryDarkMan, in a statement circulating online, questioned why Adeleke would present his certificate of return to Wike, describing the minister as a political figure who does not hold the position of governor.
He also criticised Adeleke’s decision to endorse Tinubu after securing victory in the Osun State governorship election, despite the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governor previously belonging to an opposition political camp.
“Ademola Adeleke is a political puppet. Tell me why you are presenting your certificate of return to Nyesom Wike, a minister. You’re a governor for crying out loud,” he said.
The activist further alleged that recent comments by Adeleke, Wike and others about the 2026 Osun governorship election being free and fair were part of efforts to project Tinubu as a leader committed to credible elections ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
VeryDarkMan also alleged that the 2023 presidential election was rigged in Tinubu’s favour and claimed that a similar situation could occur in 2027. The allegation remains his personal claim and has not been established as fact in the statement.
Turning his attention to Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, VeryDarkMan questioned whether the singer would maintain the same political activism ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He recalled Davido’s involvement in campaigning for his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, during the Osun governorship election, when the campaign was largely opposed to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“Davido, when you were fighting for your uncle to win the election, you were campaigning against APC. I hope your voice will also be loud in 2027,” he said.
VeryDarkMan also expressed disappointment over the state of infrastructure and development in Osun State, saying he expected more progress given the exposure of the governor’s children.
“I was disappointed when I travelled to Osun State. That state is not supposed to be like that with the level of exposure of the governor’s children. It doesn’t even have an airport, no structure… there is nothing in that state,” he said.
Despite his criticism, the activist said he hoped Adeleke would perform better during his next four years in office.
“I have to be honest. I hope the governor will do better in the next four years,” VeryDarkMan added.
