Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has reiterated his commitment to good governance, saying his administration will focus on leaving behind a state that is better than he found it.
Otti made the remarks while addressing concerns over the future of Abia State beyond his administration.
According to the governor, the most important responsibility of any government is to provide good governance and improve the lives of its citizens.

Otti further said he would work to ensure that whoever succeeds him would build on the achievements of his administration and perform better.
“By the time I’m done, the person who succeeds me will be better than me,” he said.
The governor also stated that he does not subscribe to godfatherism in politics, stressing that he does not intend to position himself as a political godfather after leaving office.
“I don’t tolerate godfatherism; I don’t want to be a godfather,” Otti added.
