Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has opened up about his health struggles, revealing that he is currently having difficulty walking and sometimes experiences swelling in parts of his body.
The actor disclosed this while visiting his longtime friend and colleague, Emmanuel Armah, who is currently battling health issues.
Speaking during the visit, Edochie said: “Sitting down here, I’m not very well, myself, I’m not. Walking is a problem for me now, but, I still have hope that I waill recover myself.
He further added: “Sometimes I get up and parts of my body are swollen and after some time they go down again. Like my hand is swollen now, my leg.”
Reflecting on his condition and his faith in God, the veteran actor said he continues to leave his fate in God’s hands, while expressing his wish not to become a burden to those around him.
“I just keep asking God, ‘you are the author of life. Whenever you feel it is time for me to go, just take me. Don’t let me bother the people who are around me. So, just take me.’”
